General Questions

Do you provide samples?

Yes, we can provide small samples for most of our stones. We'll also send you photos and videos of available slabs, as natural stone varies significantly from slab to slab. Samples give you an idea of colour and pattern, but viewing the full slab images helps you see the true character of the stone.

Do you provide installation services?

We specialise in stone supply rather than installation. However, we work closely with many excellent stonemasons and fabricators across Australia and can recommend trusted professionals in your area. This ensures you get the best quality stone paired with expert installation.

What areas do you deliver to?

We deliver Australia-wide, from metropolitan areas to regional locations. Delivery costs vary depending on location and order size. Contact us for a delivery quote specific to your project. For local Melbourne orders, we often provide same-week delivery.

Can I select my specific slab?

Absolutely! We'll send you photos and videos of available slabs so you can select your perfect stone. Every natural stone slab is unique, with its own patterns, colours, and characteristics. We make sure you see exactly what you're getting before you commit.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Yes, we offer competitive trade pricing for stonemasons, builders, and other trade professionals. Contact us to set up a trade account and discuss pricing for your regular projects.

Stone Selection

What's the difference between granite and quartz?

Granite is a natural stone quarried from the earth, with each slab being unique. It's extremely durable and heat-resistant but requires periodic sealing. Quartz (engineered stone) is manufactured from natural quartz crystals mixed with resins. It offers consistent patterns, is non-porous (no sealing needed), but is less heat-resistant than granite. Both are excellent choices for benchtops.

Is marble suitable for kitchen benchtops?

Marble can be used for kitchen benchtops, but it requires more care than granite or quartz. It's softer and more porous, making it susceptible to scratching and staining from acidic substances. Many people love marble for its unmatched beauty and accept that it develops a patina over time. It's ideal for baking areas as it stays naturally cool.

Which stone is best for outdoor use?

For outdoor applications, we recommend granite, quartzite, or travertine. These stones handle weather, UV exposure, and temperature changes well. Travertine is particularly popular for pool surrounds and patios. Avoid using marble or polished stones outdoors as they can become slippery when wet.

How do I choose the right colour?

Consider your cabinetry, flooring, and overall colour scheme. Send us photos of your space along with samples of your cabinet doors or paint colours. View stone samples in natural light if possible, as artificial lighting can alter colours. Our team can help guide you through the selection process based on your design goals.

Care & Maintenance

How often should granite be sealed?

Most granite should be sealed every 1-2 years, though this varies by stone type. A simple water test can tell you if resealing is needed: sprinkle water on the surface - if it beads up, the seal is intact. If it absorbs into the stone, it's time to reseal. We can recommend quality sealers for your stone.

How do I clean natural stone?

For daily cleaning, use warm water and a soft cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, vinegar, lemon, or abrasive cleaners as these can damage the stone or sealant. Wipe up spills promptly to prevent staining.

Can scratches be repaired?

Minor scratches on polished stone can often be buffed out by a professional stone restoration specialist. Deeper scratches may require honing and repolishing. Prevention is best - use cutting boards and avoid dragging heavy objects across the surface.
